I do like BAM because of its location. However, I don't like their membership program. It seems like just another way to get more money out of people. I do like the general layout of the store, but I wish they had a few chairs to sit in. I have kids and they like to really browse for a while to find the right book. Having a padded bench for parents in the kids section would be greatly appreciated. Also having a few chairs for adults to sit in while they decide if their book selections are right for them would also be nice. Quite often I find I've gathered books that aren't quite what I'm looking for or books that have the same information. Having a seat to gather my thoughts and organize my potential purchases would be incredibly helpful. These reasons are normally why I go out of my way to go to the Barnes and Noble in Augusta instead. I can really lose myself in there and leave with exactly what I want. So if you have the extra time and gas go there, if not BAM is good for quick stops.

Aug 20, 2024 · Abby WestThis is a beautiful store. the only worthy place in this dying Auburn mall, sadly. I love going there for books or gifts. They always have new things, workers are friendly and the Harry Potter section is wonderful. Oh, and there were some good options too for Christmas gifts this year. Keep it up.
Dec 26, 2018 · Daniel GThey were very helpful and even referred me to another place,to finish my shopping experience.I will be back.
Nov 09, 2024 · marilyn hanscomFantastic! I love the way it is set up. You can easily find what you're looking for because of it. The signage for all the different categories is large and clear. The rewards membership was thoroughly explained to me and that will be a purchase next time. And of course, I found the book I wanted; it will be very helpful. They have the additional books I will need, so I look forward to returning.
Sep 11, 2020 · Laura LynnWhen first visited, a male associate made fun of my child's excitement for the Bluey books by mocking him. Part of my family went ahead of me, so I'm assuming he didn't know that I was with them. He was unprofessional the entire time. Tried to visit again a few months later and found him to be just as unprofessional. South Portland location is better, but Sherman's or Borders for the win.
