A fixture of downtown Portsmouth. I can't remember if it's the same name over the decades, but, I've always found it to be a pleasant little store with an old time charm. My first visit as a kid, I remember walking to school, uphill, both ways, err, sorry wrong memory. I remember a tiny tightrope with a small bicycle 🚲 moving back and forth on it. Now, stuffed animals, novelty, educational and development toys. Playmobil, Sesame Street and a few other name brands. Staff was friendly. I found gifts for my son and my daughter, who at first didn't want to go in. She found a book 📖 she wanted. She's picky! Facemasks required and only six customers at a time. Store is small and a little crampt, but, space is at a premium in a city 🏙️ that has regulations that try to maintain its historical look. I recommend a visit!

I've been going to Treehouse for years and never tire of the carefully selected merchandise set out with such care. The staff are helpful and kind, too. So fun!

We just happened to stumble upon it while looking for a bakery, and it was the highlight of our visit to Portsmouth. The staff were kind and knowledgeable; the lady who helped us shared a bit of local history involving our home state when she found out that we were from Michigan. A great place to buy toys for your little ones!
