Mar 15, 2025 路 Mason DunlapTonight's snowfall and apparently the coldest night of the year, 27掳, and oddly, the lack of heat at Love Toys is a persistant, neglected issue again. The counter person has a space heater but particularly the arcade and theater room are frigid because of routine lack of heat. If it wasn't cold enough, strangly, fans were turned on and blowing cold air around, making the cold air yet even colder. Previously, one of the clerks, when asked, did turn some heat on which helped raise the temperature up to what felt like a warmer low 60's. Being curious, I asked one of the clerks, "Why so cold?" She said, "The only person authorized to control the heat is the manager and the manager is not here." Another clerk when asked the same question remarked, "The temperature control is under lock and key and the manager has the key." Another story includes this one, "The temperature is set during the day when it's warmer and remains at that setting after the sun sets." I have to admit, I found the variety of assorted answers mixed, so I asked a few customers and the best probable answer that they were able to come up with is that the cold temperatures prevent people from falling asleep back there on the couch. As for me, it really doesn't matter because this business is giving me and the rest, "The cold shoulder." So it shouldn't come as any surprise that although I find it odd, but worthy of award for "Coldest Business in Town." A perfect 馃挴 for sub comfort temperature.
