Giggles in Hyde Park

Giggles has made so many changes since I’ve been in there which was a long time ago and when I first went in a couple months ago the store actually looks great and the woman Jennnifer that works there is the one who made it that much better it’s so organized now I can find what I’m looking for instantly plus if I have any questions or need any help Jen is on top of it as she’s multi tasking taking care of other customers and unboxing shipments that had come in, she’s an extremely sweet, friendly & hardworking and an amazing asset to this store and should be recognized for all she does and her kind customer service! Also just wanna add that when I decided to stop in to check what new things had come in an I was greeted by a new girl I never saw an she was being so unfriendly, unhelpful, and was very unknowledgeable, the flower I was interested in I had asked if it took batteries or if it’s rechargeable and I got “I don’t know” in a smirky rude don’t bother me attitude and it was a simple question to check for me, but nope! I was not happy at all with this new employee Elizabeth this is not the kind of person you want working for your store if you want to remain getting business, she really needs to go! It’s bad enough the other day my friend had called to see if they had the certain product in stock and this new girl I just dealt with Elizabeth answered the phone and my friend asked her if they had it, and my friend said her tone of voice was extremely snobby. All she said was I don’t know And my friend said, can you ask somebody and she said nobody was there. Meanwhile, there was another employee there working this girl just didn’t want to be bothered and just didn’t care. This is bad customer service having this girl treat customers like this. I think it’s time you get a replacement. Otherwise I love going here love seeing Jen I always get the help the answers everything I need and at good prices so it’s definitely worth shopping at especially when there’s really sweet employees working like her! This place has a great selection if you’re straight. If you’re part of the LGBTQIA community, look elsewhere. Not only are the products that are geared towards our community extremely limited, the products they do have are extremely overpriced, at least 100% over MSRP, online prices, or prices from other stores, even. The staff are unhelpful/unfriendly once they realize you’re not cishet. Almost every time I’ve asked questions about products I’ve been met with hostility. There is a no phone policy which makes sense, but then it’s impossible to look up the materials toys are made with to see if they are safe, and with the staff being so unfriendly, unhelpful, and unknowledgeable, make sure you check the materials BEFORE YOU GO because I did notice some of the toys sold were not made from materials that are safe for the human body. This isn’t specific to this location, either, almost every giggles location I’ve been in is the same. They clearly do not want LGBT business and cater towards hetero folks so I’ll be shopping at stores that are accepting of all orientations and gender identities. The one star I am giving them is only because I’m unable to give 0.

So I am not happy about this store at all. The No phone policy is so sketchy. Their is no law saying to not use a cell phone in a adult store. That's a lie! So creepy. I don't this store should be open. Seemed like a lot of health and safety violations in the store when I went. So I didn't buy anything. The store is not sanitary.

I was shopping for a new pipe for the first time in 25 years. I specified a pipe under $50 if possible without much hope of finding one. Both clerks provided excellent suggestions, and they also educated me about devices in lily and other price ranges. It was an excellent shopping experience!

I went there early yesterday. I've been there before and never had a problem. This time was no different. The staff makes sure you don't use your cell phone and you show your ID. The gentleman I dealt with was very professional. I won't put his name, because I didn't ask for permission. But a great employee.
