Eide's Entertainment

If you are in the Pittsburgh downtown area, stop at Eide's Entertainment. If you are looking for a great comic or memorabilia, stop here. Not that far from The Strip District, I got a couple myself.

ABSOLUTELY HEAVEN… a nerds dream come true… it’s unbelievable the amount of stuff they have here, I bought a great edition of teen titans and picked up a Blu-ray copy of the night of the living dead… this is such a hidden gem, and the employees are very nice as well!

PHYSICAL MEDIA COLLECTORS BEWARE! The “New Owners” jacked up the prices to at least $10 over eBay listings so why buy from Eide’s when I can go online and save a ton of money? I dropped over $200 in 2 days and have been coming to Eide’s for a decade but some employee decided to publicly shame me in front of the whole store by Yelling at me for looking at a $10 comic book because it was supposedly in an “employees only” section that another employee had showed me yesterday and I asked if it was employees only and the employee yesterday didn’t say it was. I tossed the comic back and told them to keep it. I was sad when the original owner passed because the store was founded in the 1970’s partially in an attempt to replace his prized comic book collection he’d lost in Israel as a teenager. I was planning to give an amazing review but this was definitely the last time I’ll waste a dime in this dump. If you love movies go to Robinson Center or any local EXCHANGE cause the prices and service are much better! Eide’s used to be great but mismanagement ruined a good thing. Sad.

The customer service here is horrible, so don't expect to be welcomed if you shop here. I stopped here with my wife and was looking at the new release comics. It was her first time there. I picked up a comic from the new release section and was headed down to the basement, when the cashier stopped me and asked me where I was going with the comic in hand. I told him I was going downstairs to look at more stuff but he was treating me like I was a thief trying to run out with the comic. I will never shop here again. Will take my business elsewhere.

If you’re a fan of pop culture, this place is for you. New and used music, movies, books, comic books, toys, etc. The people are just as legit. Solid, locally-owned business. Make sure you plan on spending some time browseing around. You won’t get bored!
